Chapter 8: Mood changes: From calm to tears to anger - within minutes
As humans, we are all subject to moods. For the most part, we experience mood changes slowly over time in response to various stimuli. An unpleasant experience, for example, may change our 'state of mind' from elation to sadness or anger. Yet for an individual with Alzheimer's disease, these changes in feeling often occur rapidly or drastically without apparent cause... It's also important to remember that people with Alzheimer's disease can easily misinterpret events.  What seems normal to most of us might appear totally different to Alzheimer's suffers. Our reality is not necessarily theirs.

Alzheimer's/Dementia Kills more People than Breast and Prostate Cancers Combined!
According to the Natural Hormone Institute in the US the epidemic of dementia which now effects 35 million people worldwide kills more than these two prominately recognized and feared cancers combined!  It's time to take this disease out of the closet and shine a much greater spotlight on it and the devistating toll it takes on families and those afflicted.
Project Lifesaver/SafetyNet Needs Your Help!

Due to the economic downturn of the past months We RageWe Weep Alzheimer Foundation has not received the necessary donations to fund new clients enrolling into Project Lifesaver/SafetyNet.  To continue we need your help in reaching our goal to raise $40,000 for 2010 Project Lifesaver/SafetyNet participants.

Help seniors with limited fixed incomes enjoy the peace of mind that their loved one, often a life partner or parent, can be recovered safely should they wander.
