Spring At Last

It is our goal to provide you with informative facts, topics and events that are of interest as well as remind you of the ways you can help us make a difference in the lives of caregivers and their loved ones.
Chapter 7: Decreased Judgement
We all make 'judgements' - decisions, if you will - many times every day.  The decisions we make about everything from clothing to passing on the highway aren't always good ones, but it doesn't mean we have Alzheimer's Disease.  Poor decisions can result from a number of factors: stress, failure to investigate an issue thoroughly, pressure from people or forces beyond your control...  Most healthy people make more good judgements than bad ones.  A person with Alzheimer's, however, often has more difficulty making the 'right choice'.  His or her ability... can be seriously impaired by the disease.

Did You Know?
As the days grow longer and the weather milder your loved one may become more prone to wandering.  Keep a close eye out for restlessness or agitation.  Perhaps a short walk or sitting outdoors for a time may help your loved one enjoy this beautiful time of year without the concern of alopement.  Be sure activities are always supervised for safety.
