Hi. I’m Marjorie. My father lost his battle with Alzheimer's Disease in August 1995.
My mother, June, wrote a book - We Rage, We Weep: A Rural Caregiver’s Experience Coping with Alzheimer’s Disease - published in 2000. It recounts her emotions and experiences caring for my father. How as his primary caregiver she raged over the challenges and frustrations of dementia and wept over the slow insidious loss of a husband and father.
As an extension of the book and a tribute to all the people it helped to find comfort and support realizing they were not alone on this journey I founded We Rage We Weep Alzheimer Foundation, an independent registered Canadian charity, in May 2006. The Foundation was formed to assist caregiver's such as yourself coping with experiences much like mine who are in need of financial support to acquire the programs and services to care for a loved one at home.
In the world of dementia it's said there are only three kinds of people; those who are caregivers, those who will become a caregiver or those who require care. No matter which you are together we can ease this burden.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marjorie Moulton, Executive Director
