Financial assistance may be given for any necessary service or supply not currently covered through statutory funding thus complimenting other programs that are also available.

Donating Publicly Trades Securities
In the May 2006 budget the federal government made a change in capital gains taxes for direct gifts of publicly traded securities to a registered Canadian charity. Eligible securities include shares, bonds, mutual funds, and stock options that are traded on a public exchange.
