Benefits
The Foundation's primary focus is to promote aging in place, where applicable, helping those with Alzheimer Disease (AD) or related dementia and their caregiver's stay together and in their own private residence as long as possible. Grant funding may be given for any necessary service or supply not currently available through statutory funding that compliments existing community programs. Assistance will always be provided by or through qualified service providers. This allows the following benefits:
- Financial assistance to those caregivers in need
- Greater peace of mind, reduced financial and overall caregiver stress so focus can be placed where it’s needed, on the dementia patient’s care
- Decreased social demand for monetary support to come from overwhelmed government, social or community service plans as the numbers of AD persons mounts
- Reduced societal burden of placing persons with Alzheimer's in care homes before absolutely necessary
- Collaboration between government, social or community service agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses and individual caregivers through the Foundation’s extensive referral network and partnerships.
