We Rage We Weep Alzheimer Foundation has received funding to begin a pilot program that enables people with dementia living at home with their caregivers to try their hand at art as well as enjoying some of their favourite music.
We Rage We Weep Alzheimer Foundation also hope its new Arts & Alzheimer’s program will not only help those with dementia but support their caregivers by offering them a break from their 24/7 caring responsibilities. Caregivers may leave their loved ones with the program facilitators to enjoy some much needed respite or they may choose to stay and observe or participate. The program is unique to other programs as its sole focus is the art and music.
The program is open to seniors who reside in the municipality of Oak Bay.
